A 15-Minute Habit to Help You Learn Better

One of the best habits I share with my learners is very simple. It only takes 15 minutes each week, but it can help you make real progress in anything you are learning.

At the end of each week, take some time to ask yourself these three questions:

  • What went well this week?

  • What was difficult?

  • What should I focus on next?

This short check-in helps you understand how you learn. It shows you what is working and where you might need to change something. You can use it if you are learning a language, studying for exams, or trying something new at work.

I also talk about this in Master Language Independently. It is one of the easiest ways to keep moving forward without feeling lost or tired.

Many studies show that people who reflect on their learning make faster progress. They remember more, stay more motivated, and feel more in control of their learning.

You can write your answers in a notebook or record your thoughts on your phone. It doesn’t need to be perfect. The important thing is to stop, think, and plan your next steps.

You do not need a lot of time to learn something well. You just need the right habits. And this one only takes 15 minutes.
