Recurring subscriptions, lesson subscriptions, monthly plans and prepaid Lesson Packages are governed by the LANALTX Subscription Services and Lesson Plans Terms and Conditions.
Lesson Studio is also governed by its separate Terms of Service.
These Terms, the applicable additional terms and the information shown at checkout form the agreement between you and LANALTX.
Where additional terms conflict with these general Terms regarding a particular Product or Service, the more specific terms will apply to that Product or Service.
Nothing in any additional terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
SECTION 5 - ELIGIBILITY AND AGE REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to:
• Create a LANALTX Account. • Purchase a Product or Service. • Purchase or manage a subscription. • Provide payment information. • Accept these Terms. • Use Lesson Studio.
A parent, guardian or other responsible adult may arrange a separate teaching service for a learner under 18 only where that particular service expressly states that younger learners are accepted.
The adult remains responsible for:
• Entering into the contract. • Making payments. • Providing necessary information and authorisation. • Communicating with LANALTX. • Ensuring suitable privacy, safety and learning arrangements.
Lesson Studio is strictly limited to users and learners aged 18 or over.
No person may create a Lesson Studio account, learner profile or learning record for anyone under 18.
We may restrict or close an Account if we reasonably believe that the eligibility or age requirements have been breached.
SECTION 6 - WEBSITE ACCESS
You may use the Website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with learning about, purchasing or using LANALTX Products and Services.
Access to the Website is normally provided free of charge.
We do not guarantee that every page or feature will always be available.
We may temporarily restrict access for:
• Maintenance. • Security work. • Technical changes. • Legal compliance. • Service improvements. • Events outside our reasonable control.
You are responsible for arranging the equipment, software and internet connection required to access the Website.
SECTION 7 - WEBSITE INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to keep Website information accurate and current.
However:
• Website content may contain minor errors or omissions. • Availability may change. • Features may be updated. • Images may be illustrative. • Results and learning outcomes may vary. • Prices and service details may be corrected where an obvious error has occurred.
General information, blog posts and free resources are provided for educational and informational purposes.
They are not personalised professional advice.
You should review the specific description, price and conditions shown before completing a purchase.
SECTION 8 - ACCOUNTS
Some Services require an Account.
You must provide information that is accurate, current and complete.
You are responsible for:
• Protecting your password. • Keeping your contact information current. • Using a secure device. • Reviewing activity carried out through your Account. • Informing us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
Accounts are personal unless a business or organisational plan expressly permits multiple authorised users.
You must not:
• Share your password with an unauthorised person. • Sell or transfer your Account. • Create an Account using false information. • Impersonate another person. • Create repeated Accounts to misuse trials or promotions. • Allow a person under 18 to use an Account intended for adults.
We may require email verification or other proportionate security checks.
SECTION 9 - PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS
The main features of a Product or Service will be described on the relevant page before purchase.
Descriptions may include:
• The type of Product or Service. • The price. • Lesson or session duration. • Delivery method. • Access conditions. • Compatibility requirements. • Validity or expiry period. • Booking restrictions. • Included features. • Any applicable recurring billing terms.
You are responsible for checking that the Product or Service is suitable for your needs before purchase.
A specific result, level, qualification, job outcome or examination result is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.
SECTION 10 - ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected Product or Service.
Before purchasing, you will be given an opportunity to review the main order information.
You are responsible for checking:
• The Product or Service selected. • The price. • The billing frequency. • The customer and contact information. • Any booking date or time. • Any applicable additional terms.
A binding contract is normally formed when:
• You complete the checkout process. • Payment is authorised or accepted. • LANALTX provides an order, booking or subscription confirmation.
An acknowledgement that an order has been received does not require LANALTX to accept an order affected by fraud, an obvious pricing error, lack of availability or another material problem.
Where we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund any payment already taken for that order.
SECTION 11 - PRICES, VAT AND PAYMENT
Prices are shown in euros unless another currency is clearly stated.
Prices include VAT where stated or required by law.
The total price and any additional charges will be shown before the order is completed.
Payments may be processed through Stripe, PayPal, Wix Payments or another provider displayed at checkout.
By submitting payment, you confirm that:
• You are authorised to use the selected payment method. • The payment information is accurate. • You understand that the order creates an obligation to pay.
LANALTX does not normally receive or store complete payment-card details.
Payment providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Recurring payments are governed by the LANALTX Subscription Services and Lesson Plans Terms and Conditions.
SECTION 12 - ONE-OFF LESSONS, CONSULTATIONS AND COACHING
One-off lessons, consultations and coaching sessions are subject to availability.
A booking is confirmed only when LANALTX or the booking system confirms the appointment.
You are responsible for checking:
• The date. • The time. • The relevant time zone. • The meeting link or location. • The session duration. • Any preparation requirements.
A request to change a booking is subject to availability and any cancellation conditions shown when the booking is made.
Unless different conditions are displayed before purchase, at least 24 hours’ notice should be given when requesting to reschedule an individual session.
A missed session or late cancellation may be treated as used where the appointment and teacher time were reserved.
If LANALTX cancels a session, we will normally offer a replacement appointment, credit or appropriate refund.
Recurring lesson plans and prepaid Lesson Packages are governed by the separate Subscription Services and Lesson Plans Terms.
SECTION 13 - ATTENDANCE AND CUSTOMER CONDUCT
Customers and learners must behave respectfully during lessons, group sessions and communications.
You must not:
• Harass, threaten or abuse a teacher or participant. • Use discriminatory or hateful language. • Record a session without permission. • Disrupt a group class. • Share private meeting links without permission. • Use a lesson for an unlawful purpose. • Submit illegal or seriously inappropriate material.
LANALTX may end a session or restrict future bookings where conduct creates a safety, legal or operational concern.
Serious misconduct may result in suspension or termination without a refund for a session that had to be ended.
SECTION 14 - DIGITAL CONTENT AND EBOOKS
Purchasing Digital Content gives you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use that content for the purpose stated in the product description.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Digital Content is supplied for personal educational use.
You must not:
• Resell or redistribute the content. • Upload it to a public website or file-sharing service. • Share download links with unauthorised people. • Remove copyright or ownership notices. • Claim the content as your own. • Copy substantial parts for commercial use. • Use it to create a competing product or service.
Digital Content may be supplied by download link, email, account access or another electronic method.
You are responsible for checking the stated format and compatibility requirements before purchase.
Please contact us if a technical problem prevents access to purchased Digital Content.
SECTION 15 - APPLICATIONS AND DIGITAL SERVICES
LANALTX may provide Applications and Digital Services through the Website or a separate application interface.
Access may depend on:
• A supported browser. • A suitable device. • A stable internet connection. • Account registration. • An active subscription. • Optional microphone, camera, storage or calendar permissions.
We may provide updates needed for security, compatibility and continued operation.
You should install required updates within a reasonable period.
Specific Applications may have their own Terms of Service.
Lesson Studio is governed by its separate Terms of Service and strict 18+ eligibility rule.
Subscription access is governed by the Subscription Services and Lesson Plans Terms.
SECTION 16 - DIGITAL SERVICE QUALITY AND CONSUMER REMEDIES
Digital Content and Digital Services supplied to Consumers will be provided in accordance with applicable consumer law.
They should reasonably:
• Match their description. • Provide the stated functionality. • Be compatible with requirements disclosed before purchase. • Be supplied within the agreed period. • Receive necessary updates where required. • Remain reasonably secure.
If paid Digital Content or a Digital Service is not supplied, does not work as described or does not conform to the contract, please contact us.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, an appropriate remedy may include:
• Restoring access. • Correcting the problem. • Supplying an update. • Replacing a file. • A proportionate price reduction. • Termination and refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits a Consumer’s mandatory legal rights.
SECTION 17 - RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Consumers who enter into a qualifying distance contract may have a legal right to withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason.
For a service contract, the withdrawal period normally begins when the contract is concluded.
For qualifying goods, it normally begins when the goods are received.
You may exercise an applicable withdrawal right by:
• Using the Withdrawal and Cancellation page on the Website. • Using the online withdrawal function provided for the relevant order. • Sending LANALTX a clear statement of your decision to withdraw.
The withdrawal request must be submitted before the applicable withdrawal period expires.
Ordinary subscription cancellation and statutory withdrawal are separate processes.
Cancelling future subscription renewals does not automatically amount to exercising a statutory withdrawal right.
SECTION 18 - ONLINE WITHDRAWAL FUNCTION
Where a qualifying distance contract is concluded through the Website or another LANALTX online interface, an applicable withdrawal right may also be exercised through the online withdrawal function.
The function will be clearly labelled using wording such as:
“Withdraw from contract here”
It will be prominently displayed, easily accessible and available during the applicable withdrawal period.
The withdrawal form will allow the Consumer to provide or confirm:
• Their name. • Information identifying the relevant contract, order or subscription. • The electronic contact method to which confirmation should be sent.
The Consumer will then be asked to submit the request using a confirmation function clearly labelled using wording such as:
“Confirm withdrawal”
After submission, LANALTX will send an acknowledgement without undue delay on a durable medium, normally by email.
The acknowledgement will include:
• The content of the request. • The date of submission. • The time of submission.
The withdrawal is treated as submitted within the withdrawal period where the completed online withdrawal statement is submitted before that period expires.
SECTION 19 - SERVICES STARTED DURING THE WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
You may request that a lesson, consultation, coaching service or other service begin during the 14-day withdrawal period.
Where required by law, we will ask you to expressly request that performance begins during that period.
If you then withdraw after the requested service has started, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the part of the service already supplied.
This may include a lesson or consultation already delivered.
The withdrawal right for a service contract is lost after the service has been fully performed only where:
• You expressly requested early performance. • You acknowledged that the withdrawal right would be lost once the service was fully performed. • The service was then fully performed.
SECTION 20 - IMMEDIATE DIGITAL CONTENT
Special withdrawal rules apply to Digital Content supplied immediately without a physical medium.
This may include ebooks, downloadable materials, audio files or other immediate downloads.
The right to withdraw may be lost when the supply begins only where:
• You gave prior express consent for supply to begin during the withdrawal period. • You acknowledged that you would lose the withdrawal right when supply began. • LANALTX provided confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement.
The required consent and acknowledgement must be obtained separately during the purchase process where applicable.
A general agreement to these Terms alone does not replace that separate consent.
SECTION 21 - REFUNDS
Refunds will be provided where required by applicable law.
A refund or other remedy may be appropriate where:
• LANALTX cannot supply the purchased Product or Service. • A qualifying withdrawal right has been exercised. • A duplicate or incorrect payment was taken. • Digital Content cannot be accessed because of a fault for which LANALTX is responsible. • A Digital Service does not conform and cannot be corrected within a reasonable time. • A booking was cancelled by LANALTX and no reasonable alternative was provided.
Refunds are not normally provided merely because:
• A Customer changed their mind after the withdrawal period. • A Customer missed a confirmed appointment. • A Customer failed to meet the cancellation deadline. • A Customer’s own device or internet connection failed. • A Customer did not use a Product or Service that was made available. • A Customer failed to cancel a recurring plan before renewal.
Subscription, plan and package refunds are governed by the Subscription Services and Lesson Plans Terms.
Any refund will normally be made to the original payment method.
SECTION 22 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Website, Applications and original LANALTX content are protected by intellectual-property law.
Protected material may include:
• Text. • Branding. • Logos. • Graphics. • Illustrations. • Photographs. • Audio. • Video. • Ebooks. • Lesson materials. • Exercises. • Templates. • Software. • Application interfaces. • Generated product structures and layouts.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, LANALTX or its licensors own or control the relevant intellectual-property rights.
You may use protected material only as permitted by these Terms, the applicable Product description or separate written permission.
You must not:
• Republish protected material. • Sell or redistribute it. • Extract content in bulk. • Modify software or attempt to access source code. • Remove copyright notices. • Present LANALTX material as your own. • Use LANALTX branding without permission. • Use protected content to operate a competing service.
SECTION 23 - USER-SUPPLIED CONTENT
Some Services allow users to submit text, prompts, files, links, recordings, lesson information or other content.
You retain any rights you already hold in your own content.
You give LANALTX a limited right to host, process, transmit, reproduce and adapt submitted content only as reasonably necessary to:
• Provide the requested Service. • Generate requested outputs. • Store or display the content within your Account. • Maintain security. • Diagnose technical problems. • Comply with the law.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit the content.
You must not submit content that:
• Infringes another person’s rights. • Is unlawful. • Contains malicious code. • Contains unnecessary sensitive personal information. • Includes passwords or complete financial details. • Includes government identification without a legitimate and authorised reason. • Relates to a person under 18 where the Service is restricted to adults.
Users of Lesson Studio must comply with its separate Terms and learner-data rules.
SECTION 24 - ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE FEATURES
Some LANALTX Services use artificial intelligence to generate or assist with:
• Educational materials. • Exercises. • Feedback. • Corrections. • Summaries. • Conversation practice. • Suggested learning activities.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated or unsuitable.
Users and teachers must review AI-generated content before relying on, teaching from or sharing it.
AI output is provided as educational support.
It is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, psychological, immigration, safeguarding or other regulated professional advice.
LANALTX does not guarantee that AI output will be error-free or suitable for every learner or purpose.
SECTION 25 - NO GUARANTEED LEARNING OUTCOME
Learning outcomes vary between individuals.
Progress may depend on:
• Existing language level. • Attendance. • Participation. • Practice outside lessons. • Learning needs. • Personal circumstances. • The amount of time available.
LANALTX does not guarantee:
• A particular CEFR level. • Fluency by a particular date. • A specific examination score. • A job offer. • Interview success. • Promotion. • Academic admission. • A particular commercial result.
SECTION 26 - ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use the Website, Products or Services to:
• Break the law. • Commit fraud. • Harass or threaten another person. • Upload malware or malicious code. • Circumvent payment or security controls. • Gain unauthorised access to an Account or system. • Scrape or extract content automatically without permission. • Reverse engineer an Application. • Share paid access with unauthorised people. • Misrepresent your identity or age. • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights. • Overload, disrupt or damage the Website or Services. • Create or distribute unlawful or seriously harmful content. • Use Lesson Studio in connection with anyone under 18.
SECTION 27 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The Website and Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services.
These may include:
• Payment providers. • Video-conferencing services. • Authentication providers. • Calendar services. • Hosting services. • Artificial-intelligence providers. • Book retailers. • Social-media platforms. • Affiliate websites.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
LANALTX does not control their availability, security, pricing or content.
Where a Product is purchased directly from a third-party marketplace, that marketplace’s purchase, payment, delivery, cancellation and refund terms will normally govern that transaction.
Some links may be affiliate links.
LANALTX may receive a commission when a purchase is made through an affiliate link, without increasing the price paid by the Customer.
SECTION 28 - SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where:
• Payment remains unpaid. • These Terms are materially or repeatedly breached. • An Account is used fraudulently. • A user threatens or abuses another person. • Security controls are bypassed. • The Service is used unlawfully. • Paid access is shared without permission. • Eligibility or age rules are breached. • Suspension is required by law or a competent authority.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the problem.
We may act immediately where reasonably necessary to protect users, teachers, systems, data or third parties.
Termination does not remove payment obligations or other liabilities that arose before termination.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
SECTION 29 - SERVICE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES
We aim to provide reliable Services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Availability may be affected by:
• Maintenance. • Internet or hosting failure. • Security incidents. • Third-party outages. • Teacher illness or unavailability. • Updates and technical changes. • Legal or regulatory requirements. • Events outside our reasonable control.
We may update or change a Service for valid reasons, including security, compatibility, improvement and legal compliance.
Where a material change adversely affects a paid Consumer Service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and any remedy required by law.
SECTION 30 - PRIVACY AND COOKIES
Personal data is processed in accordance with the LANALTX Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains:
• What information is collected. • How it is used. • Who it may be shared with. • How long it may be retained. • The rights available to individuals.
The Website may use cookies and similar technologies.
Further information is provided in the Cookie Policy and through the available cookie controls.
Users must not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information through general contact forms, AI features or learning tools.
SECTION 31 - LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights.
For Consumers, LANALTX is responsible for loss that is a reasonably foreseeable result of:
• Our breach of contract. • Our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
LANALTX is not responsible for loss caused by:
• Incorrect information supplied by the Customer. • Customer-side device or internet failure. • Failure to attend a lesson. • Failure to follow reasonable technical requirements. • Unauthorised Account sharing. • Use of AI output without appropriate review. • A third-party service outside LANALTX’s reasonable control. • Events outside our reasonable control.
LANALTX does not exclude or limit liability for:
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. • Death or personal injury caused by negligence. • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
The Website and Services are intended primarily for educational and language-learning purposes.
LANALTX is not responsible for business losses suffered by a Consumer using a Product or Service mainly for personal purposes.
SECTION 32 - BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
This section applies where a Customer purchases or uses a Product or Service wholly or mainly for business purposes.
A business Customer is responsible for:
• Ensuring that its authorised users comply with these Terms. • Providing lawful instructions. • Obtaining any necessary authority to submit information. • Protecting Account access. • Using outputs appropriately.
To the extent permitted by law, LANALTX will not be liable to a business Customer for:
• Loss of profit. • Loss of revenue. • Loss of business opportunity. • Loss of anticipated savings. • Indirect or consequential loss.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, LANALTX’s total contractual liability to a business Customer will not exceed the amount paid by that Customer for the affected Product or Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.
SECTION 33 - EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
LANALTX will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
These may include:
• Internet or telecommunications failure. • Utility failure. • Natural disaster. • War or civil disturbance. • Government action. • Epidemic or public-health emergency. • Major third-party infrastructure failure. • Industrial action not involving LANALTX staff. • Teacher incapacity caused by serious illness or emergency.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and resume the affected Service where practicable.
Mandatory consumer remedies remain unaffected.
SECTION 34 - GEOGRAPHIC AVAILABILITY
LANALTX operates from the Republic of Cyprus.
The Website and Services are intended for users in the European Economic Area and other jurisdictions where LANALTX expressly offers them.
LANALTX does not actively target or offer Services to residents of the United States or Canada.
Availability may vary because of legal, payment, technical or service restrictions.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Website and Services is lawful in your location.
LANALTX may refuse or end access where it cannot lawfully or reasonably provide a Service in a particular jurisdiction.
SECTION 35 - CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in:
• Law. • Consumer requirements. • Products and Services. • Technology. • Security. • Payment methods. • Business operations.
The updated version will be published with a revised date.
Material changes affecting an active paid Service will be communicated with reasonable notice where practicable.
Changes will not normally apply retrospectively.
Where fresh consent is legally required, it will be requested separately.
SECTION 36 - COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Please contact LANALTX first if you have a complaint.
We will try to investigate and resolve the issue directly.
Consumers may also contact an appropriate consumer-protection authority or recognised alternative dispute-resolution body.
The former European Online Dispute Resolution platform is no longer available.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a Consumer from exercising legal rights or bringing a claim before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
SECTION 37 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
If you are a Consumer living in another country, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections available under the law of your country of residence.
The courts of the Republic of Cyprus will have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
A Consumer may also be entitled to bring a claim in another court with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
SECTION 38 - GENERAL PROVISIONS
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
You may not transfer your contractual rights or obligations without LANALTX’s consent.
LANALTX may transfer the contract as part of a sale, restructuring or transfer of the business, provided this does not reduce mandatory consumer protections.
These Terms are available in English.
Where a translation is provided, the English version will apply to the extent legally permitted if there is an inconsistency.
A person who is not a party to the contract has no right to enforce these Terms unless applicable law expressly provides otherwise.
